Stilnovo is an Italian lighting company founded by Bruno Gatta in 1946. The company played a significant role in post-World War 2 Italian design specialising in the mass production of innovative, functional lighting. Stilnovo worked with a number of Italian designers such as Ettore Sottsass and Gae Aulenti, experimenting with form, materials and organic lines. It is often compared with Arteluce, directed by Gino Sarfatti, that explored abstract, linear forms.
