Andrea Branzi is one of the most celebrated and influential designers working today. A former member of the radical architecture group Archizoom and founding father of the Domus Academy in Milan, Branzi has influenced an entire generation of designers. In this exhibition Branzi has woven materials such as hemp and bamboo with glass and metal to create fragile and deeply poetic architectural structures, reconciling the natural with the manmade. This catalogue exposes the inner workings of his installation at the Cartier Foundation, with beautifully collated digital sketches and photographs that illuminate the exhibition from its creation to realisation.
