Care Guidelines:
Please handle your jewellery with care. It is best to remove your jewellery if you’re involved in any activity which could scratch, knock or damage it. If in any doubt, take it off and keep it safe.
Jewellery made from Enamel or covered in dark patinas may scratch and fade over time. To avoid, please do not expose to water and avoid any activity that may scratch it.
Keep it well away from chemicals such as chlorine. If it does come into contact with chemicals, rinse it in water immediately. Please have professionally cleaned.
Keep away from water and apply any lotions or perfumes before you put your jewellery on. Organic gemstones like pearls and opals are particularly vulnerable to acids, even perspiration.
To prevent your metals, gemstones and pearls from scratching and tarnishing, keep your jewellery in individual boxes or soft pouches and store these in a cool, dry place.
Avoid contact with soap, as it can give gold jewellery a dull appearance. This can be rectified by gentle polishing with a specialist jewellery cleaner and jewellery polishing soft cloth.

Caring for Jewellery
To prevent your metals, gemstones and pearls from scratching and tarnishing, keep your jewellery in individual boxes or soft pouches and store these in a cool, dry place.
As most metals will see surface damage when in contact with chlorinated water, it is best to remove all jewellery when around water.
Any metals such as Brass will change colour when exposed to water and experience natural oxidisation.
Keep all of your metal and gemstones well away from domestic cleaning products and avoid contact with things like perfume and hairspray.
Avoid contact with soap, as it can give gold jewellery a dull appearance. This can be rectified by gentle polishing with a specialist jewellery cleaner and jewellery polishing soft cloth.
Any pieces with dark patination will fade over time due to natural wear. To avoid please follow care instructions above.
We are happy to look at any damage on the jewellery and contact each artist to establish the best course of action. In the event that reparations are possible, a small charge may apply.
Caring for Enamel
Vitreous enamel is made from glass; it adheres strongly to gold, but like any glass item it will shatter if dropped or knocked against a hard surface. It can be restored, although that process is costly as all stones must be removed. We can also repair glass enamel with lacquer enamel, although this can sometimes adversely affect resale value for vitreous enamel jewellery.
Lacquer enamel is made from resin and is more durable than vitreous glass enamel, although it may still damage if badly knocked or dropped. It can be easily restored, and colours can also be changed to refresh your jewel should you wish.
Sometimes despite your best efforts, your jewellery may need cleaning over time. We recommend washing up liquid, or mild detergents such as specialist jewellery cleaners, and use of a very soft toothbrush to go over the surface of your jewels under lukewarm water. Don’t leave your enamel jewellery submerged in water for any length of time.
For deeper cleaning, you can take your jewellery to an independent jewellery store or return it to us and we can arrange to have your jewel Ultrasonic cleaned. The Ultrasonic fluid should not go over 40-50 degrees.
