Aki+Arnaud’s Tiss-Tiss series of collectible jewellery is made to deceive and enthral the senses, with each metal item cast to resemble linen fabric.
The Tiss-Tiss Bracelet forms a loop of silver, as if cut from a single strip of linen. This trompe-l’oeil effect is completed in the frayed edges and loose rippling weave of the silver, and demonstrates Aki+Arnaud’s exceptional craftsmanship. Aki’s father, Shinji Naoi, is a pioneering silver-smith in Japan, and Aki drew on this generational knowledge to work on the silver Tiss-Tiss collection.
