Aki+Arnaud Cooren Tiss-Tiss Earrings Square Silver
Edition of 30 + 2AP
2021
Britannia 958 Silver
The linen patina that defines the Tiss-Tiss collection was developed by Aki+Arnaud as a means of capturing and preserving a moment in time.
Imbuing silver metal with the imprint of linen fabric, the Japanese-French design duo have cited the Buddhist philosophy of impermanence as a major influence on the collection, as well as the dyed cloths and silk-screen prints of Japanese textile master Keisuke Serizawa.
These silver earrings are edged with sewn stitch imprints, furthering the illusion they are made from fabric, not metal.
