The 18-carat gold Double Ring, by Danish artist Ane Christensen, is a striking sculptural artwork, made in a limited edition of 20 exclusively for Carpenters Workshop Jewellery.
Christensen’s compositions explore many dualities, in this case covering one half of the ring’s face in miniscule holes and leaving the other half smooth. The sheer number of hand-made holes creates a delicate formation, and tip the work towards abstraction, contrasting solidity with transparency.
