Spa Pendant displays a self-portrait of renowned artist Cindy Sherman dressed in her bathrobe and hair towel, engraved in sardonyx shell and augmented by ten cultured pearls. The ancient technique of cameo engraving was first developed by the Ancient Greeks to depict the Olympian gods, and here, Sherman brings it into the 21st century.
The Cameo series was produced in collaboration with LIZWORKS, to give Sherman’s iconoclastic portraits life in 3D for the first time and is exclusively available at Carpenters Workshop Gallery.
