This statement ring harks to the Japanese syllabary ‘Katakana’. Its ease of form and fluid shape hints towards the series of ‘fragments’ which are combined to create the katakana characters. This domed ring sits elegantly across two fingers.

Kayo Saito studied metal work at Japanese art college and finished a masters at the Royal College of Art. Influenced by nature, the fragility, poetry, organic forms and energy of plants arouse her creativity and fulfil her aesthetic sense. Through carefully chosen materials and designs, Saito creates unusually delicate and sculptural forms in the shape of precious jewellery.
