One could be forgiven, upon stepping into Nacho Carbonell’s Eindhoven warehouse studio in the Netherlands, for thinking she may have inadvertently taken a wrong turn along the way to her previously scheduled destination. For — by purpose or happy accident — she suddenly finds herself inside a maker’s forest, both magical and man-made, surrounded by curious, nature-inspired forms in various sizes, shapes, and states of completion — materials and tools all about. Busy hands happily work away, and the air buzzes with conversation and activity. It is, in a word, delightful.
