What to see at the London Design Festival

These were the words of Sir John Sorrell, chairman of the London Design Festival, as he announced a line-up of both physical and virtual events for the 18th iteration of the city’s celebration of design, which this year takes place from 12 to 20 September. “We want to spotlight the brilliance of the London design scene and the design community’s commitment to the recovery of the city,” he said. This year, the complexities of social distancing and restrictions on international travel have led to a scaled-down programme of events, with the organisers focusing on creating a “festival for Londoners” with a mix of installations and design happenings.
