The Small Light Studies are part of Random International’s Swarm Study series, in which the artist explores the embodiment of a living entity through light. Ranging in scale from monumental and architectural installations to more intimate studies, the series asks how it might feel to share the world with collective intelligence. This work is a focused study of a single aspect of that collective, and experiments with the expressive qualities of its core medium: light.
