František Vízner Bowl Black

František Vízner was a leading Czech glass artist and designer, who remains renowned today for his elegant minimalist glass sculptures in classical monochromatic forms – vessels, plates, columns and cubic objects – which masterly explore the relationship between material, form and light. During the 1960s and 70s he played a crucial role in pressed glass and hand-blown glass, producing vases and bowls that are now considered some of the best examples of Czech design.
