Georges Jouve is a French ceramist, whose works are characterized by their elegance and formal simplicity. He has taken part into numerous fairs such as the 'Salon des artistes décorateurs' in Paris, the French Association for Artistic Action in Rio de Janeiro and the Triennale in Milan. He sought to find balance between voids and solids in order to highlight the shape of his pieces. This yellow table lamp was made around 1966 and reflects Jouve's research on the combination of smooth materials and colours.
