Jean Royère invented ornaments that opened up a previously unimagined field of possibilities, composed from geometric, simple and archaic shapes. This mirror was designed in 1945 in gold plated metal. It is part of a special order for a private French interior in the south of France, in which there was also another mirror of the same model and a pair of Jacques sconces. Repetitive patterns are used to create a rhythm that is characteristic of Royere's designs.
