Entwined within a delicate web of stalks and leaves, poppies and chamomiles echo the ephemeral, ever-changing abundance of flowering meadows. With their calming, sleep-inducing properties, these herbaceous plants are deeply rooted in ancient knowledge, and strongly connected to life and death, medicine and ritual, beauty and wellbeing.
Accompanied by blue grape hyacinths (Muscari), the composition contemplates the fleeting moment when spring gives way to summer.
