In this sculpture collection, Landforms, Spanish artist Nacho Carbonell combines the physical textures of his native landscapes with the cultural overlay of human presence, creating an evocation of the human experience. Cardboard Chairs plays with the chair’s metal frame and a metal mesh cover and little pieces of cardboard to create an impermanent feel, with the welding of the legs implying the leg has been peeled off. Nacho was inspired by pieces of material and debris left strewn around his studio, creating a recycling of ideas and material alike in the four chairs.
