The organic-looking exterior of this cabinet by Nacho Carbonell resembles the bark of a tree. Originally inspired by a desert landscape, the work also conjures a topographic exploration depicting diverse land formations. The work invites the viewer to interact with it by opening the doors to see the inside of the work, which is more subtle and functional than the exterior, featuring different surfaces on which objects can be placed.

Born in Spain in 1980, Nacho Carbonell is now based in Eindhoven, the Netherlands, where he works alongside his team of designers and artists in an open warehouse.
