In this sculpture collection, Landforms, Spanish artist Nacho Carbonell combines the physical textures of his native landscapes with the cultural overlay of human presence, creating an evocation of the human experience. Gravity Spring shows a metal mounted structure covered in paverpol and sand. This active structure uses a motor mechanism to jet water from the top of the spring and collect it at the bottom, creating a constant and dramatic journey of water. The water running between stones in the mountains and the spring of a river was Nacho’s inspiration for this work.
