Spanish artist Nacho Carbonell creates sculptural lamps swathed in metal mesh with plaster. With a warm glow illuminating from within, Table Cocoon 6 features a sheathe of meshed material positioned on top of a table structure that acts as a base. The artist views objects as living organisms, whose design and materiality come to life in the viewer's imagination. The piece typifies his tactile approach to sculpture and his interest in texture and experimental techniques.
