In this sculpture collection, Landform, Spanish artist Nacho Carbonell combines the physical textures of his native landscapes with the cultural overlay of human presence, creating an evocation of the human experience. Carbonell dramatically combines black marble sand with beach sand in White Net, creating and adding colour to the top of the office table. Adding dimensions to the table top, pieces of thread, metal mesh and fishing net encroach on the black sand, and underneath, the contrast of the one straight leg with the three curved welded rods creates a feeling of movement. This feeling of movement inspired Nacho to create this piece, with the movement of sand and blowing of the wind combined with the dirtiness and vivid colouring of tar acting as the centre of the work.
