Hunstool Gold is a new work from the artist, bronze but patinated in a polished gold. Working with craftsmen of the highest calibre, he has developed a collection of pieces that express his signature style in cut, volume, and plan, evoking original furniture through archetypes. He juxtaposes values to compose three-dimensional pieces that fully reflect his own style.

Rick Owens grew up in Porterville, a small town in California’s San Joaquin valley. Drawn to pre-gentrified Hollywood and L.A.’s punk underground in the 80s, Owens studied painting at what is now Otis College of Art and Design. He then switched to Los Angeles Trade Technical-College to learn pattern-making and draping.
