Stilnovo is an Italian manufacturing company founded by Bruno Gatta. It has played a significant role in post war Italian design. Stilnovo was the most productive from 1950’s and the late 80s and collaborated with some of Italy’s paramount designers like Ettore Sottsass. With Fontana Arte and Arteluce, Stilnovo transformed Italy into a worldwide leader in lighting design.
The innovative design of the chandelier from 1950 presents six small lightning fixtures mounted on the brass supporting structure. Each light source is adjustable, which makes it possible to play both with the lighting produced and with the visual representation of the lamp. The graphic shape is enhanced by the alternating colours.
