Stuart Haygarth is known for elevating commonplace or discarded items to objects of value or beauty and creating order and symmetry out of randomness and waste. Raft Cats Small incorporates ceramic cat figurines into a lamp whose base acts as a raft housing the animals, with a warm, diffused, heavenly light showering down on them. Viewing the cats en masse, one discovers their idiosyncratic characters, personalities and expressions, as a harmonious pack drifting together on an unknown adventure.
