Each piece of the Short-Lived Love collection is a hybrid, a sort of sculpted creature made from the organic and baroque imagination of Sylvain Rieu-Piquet.
The basin of the SLL Vessel 9 opens onto an interior covered with Egyptian paste, a very special ceramic that enamels itself at low temperatures. During antiquity, it was used to make jewellery. Particularly unstable, it is never used on such a large surface. Its intense turquoise colour calls to the Mediterranean imagination.

Sylvain Rieu-Piquet was born in 1981. He lives and works in Paris. Formerly a designer, Rieu Piquet now has a vast scope of artistic activities to his name.
