Saving Grace is a stained walnut sculpture by Wendell Castle employing his characteristic technique of stack lamination. The artist’s approach to wood sculpting masterfully manipulates the possibilities of the material. Appearing to consist of two conjoined shapes, the piece demonstrates opposing curving movements, with a flat surface created at the top.
