Zachary Besner is an artist and designer whose practice aims to develop a complete landscape for living and working that promotes ideas of ecology, cohesion, innovation, and joy. Born in Kitchener, Ontario, Besner pursued a BFA in Toronto prior to beginning his own practice, without any formal design training. Working primarily in furniture and interior design, his methodology is characterised by the use of abnormal fabrication techniques applied to traditional materials and modes of production. Besner currently lives and works in the Catskill Mountains of upstate New York.
