This cabinet was produced by Fontana Arte, an Italian company Pietro Chiesa joined as artistic director in 1932. His work combines extreme modernity and technical craftsmanship, especially in the lighting sector. Despite the avant-garde approach of many objects he designed, classical forms, simplicity, and attention to detail characterize his production: the mirrored glass and metal alloys are typical elements. At the same time, the perforated round shapes exploit the potential of light diffusion.
