Alice Cicolini Jacobean Dots Shield Ring

£2,700

Edition of 8

2021

14k Yellow Gold, White Topaz Princess Cut, Lacquer Enamel

Alice Cicolini’s Jacobean collection celebrates the tessellated patterns that defined Jacobean architecture at the start of the 17th century. Combining the pageantry and theatricality of that era, the Jacobean collection contains many combinations of complex designs, executed in cutting-edge enamelling techniques.

The Dots Shield Ring takes inspiration from the crests and noble insignias that were often displayed on ceremonial shields in Jacobean England. The central princess cut white topaz stone is contrasted against the black enamel, creating tension between the traditional patterns and the modern cut of the gem.
