Robert Longo, in collaboration with LIZWORKS, combines his modern vision with traditional jewellery craftsmanship in his series The Rose and the Bullet Hole.
Rose Ring originated from Longo's Rose Series (2003–2013) and was part of a group of large-scale charcoal drawings called "The Essentials," representative of Genesis, the creation of the universe populated by images of our collective unconscious. The idea of a blooming rose presents a living thing in a state of becoming.
This 18k rose gold with tourmaline pendant translates Longo's drawings into jewels. Rose Pendant is delicately hand-carved in sardonyx by Italian master craftsmen and is a manifestation of Longo's artistry in a new medium.
