Shows, exhibitions, outings: our weekend selection
January 2023

If you like design and the great signatures of the last century, this is the opportunity! The Carpenters Gallery brings together 90 pieces (a record) by Zanine Caldas, figurehead of Brazilian modernism. A creator as gifted as he is a pioneer in his way of considering the reuse of wood waste, factory scraps and even dead trees, and of committing to the local know-how of communities. On three floors of 54 rue de la Verrerie and in the adjacent private apartment, the exhibition gives free rein to apprehend this gigantic work, first centered on industrial rationality before moving, from the 1970s, to the 'arts and crafts. In 1989, the Museum of Decorative Arts in Paris organized "Zanin: the architect of the forest". It's time to find it! upcarpentersworkshopgallery.com
