Charlotte Perriand created functional living spaces because she believed better design helps create a better society. This cabinet, called Brazza Cupboards, is a piece of furniture made for the Air France housing unit in Congo Brazzaville. Perriand has collaborated with Jean Prouvé to design this innovative concept of an integrated closet made of a removable frame – partly in folded steel sheet, partly in folded aluminum sheet – in which "ironwood" guides are embedded, allowing the diamond-cut aluminum doors to slide.
