In this sculpture collection, Landform, Spanish artist Nacho Carbonell combines the physical textures of his native landscapes with the cultural overlay of human presence, creating an evocation of the human experience. In Earth Clod Armchair and Side Chair, a vast metal structure in the shape of an armchair is covered in dark grey sand. The specific seating areas of the chairs have a smooth sandiness to them, a direct contrast to the dry-clay appearance of the rest of the construct. The intense dryness of clay landscapes inspired Nacho to design these structures.
