In her work, Charlotte Perriand closely aligned her belief in the power of design for social changes. She developed functional living spaces in the spirit that better design helps in creating a better society. With this Tall Berger, a walnut wood stool, inspired by the shepherd life in the Alps, she focused on student housing and finding solutions for small spaces. She continued to develop her inspiration for the alpine way of life by working on a long-running project to design a series of ski resorts in Savoie. Perriand has created different types of stools, varying in height and colour.
