Felix Kayser, a German architect and furniture designer, created the Dornarch Style desk in 1930. The name Dornarch refers to the headquarters of the Universal Anthroposophical Society in Switzerland, of which Kayser was a member. This piece was manufactured by ‘Kayser Möbel’ in cherry wood and is testimony to the transition from Art Deco to the more modern shapes of the International Style. The geometric top is a solid, smooth surface with various sections for storage combined with simple decorative elements.
