Eva Zeisel was a Hungarian-born American designer, whose playful yet practical ceramic designs were at the forefront of a shift away from the more formal style popularized by the Bauhaus. These room dividers, composed of removable and individual ceramics echo her inspirations: organic forms, nature and her own relationships. Zeisel referred to her groupings of designs as “families,” with pieces often nesting into one another.
