The Pensive ring is from LIZWORKS’ cameo series, which debuted at the Venice Biennale in 2019. Playing on the dual meaning of cameo as both an item of jewellery and a short intimate performance, Cindy Sherman worked closely with LIZWORKS to produce artworks that render Sherman’s cameo-like performances in never-before-seen 3-dimensions.
Pensive Ring displays a self-portrait of artist Cindy Sherman, hand-carved into sardonyx shell by Italian artisans. The edition of 30 is exclusive to Carpenters Workshop Jewellery.
