Atelier Van Lieshout combines an imaginative aesthetic and ethic with a spirit of entrepreneurship. Bronze Family Lamp is part of a series of humanoid lamps exploring personal relationships. The work depicts an adult form with three smaller figures held by the hand, raising questions about the family dynamic between them. Faceless and anonymous, the sculptural form of the bodies reflects the studio’s approach to dissecting systems, be it the human body or society as a whole.
