In 1940, Georges Blanchon, Pierre Jeanneret, Jean Prouvé, and Charlotte Perriand founded the BCC (Bureau Central de Construction) and produced a series of furniture, including buffets. This buffet was created in 1948 and is a rare version of Perriand's sideboards. The usual wooden flanks are replaced with aluminium ones. Instead of two-door storage, Perriand and Jeanneret designed a more spacious three-plank sideboard for the Société d'Histoire du Théâtre of Paris. This is an example of commissioned work that does not correspond to any edition.
