DRIFT’s work showcases how modern technologies can mimic natural phenomena and attempt to comprehend and embody nature. For the Fragile Future series, freeze-dried dandelion seeds are painstakingly adhered to LED bulbs. This time-consuming process is a statement against mass production and disposable society, entangling our age's rapid technological advancements with the natural process of evolution to create a unique blend of high-tech and lyrical imagery.

Founded by Dutch artists Lonneke Gordijn and Ralph Nauta, the studio looks to manifest the natural properties and phenomena of the earth and learn from its underlying mechanisms to reestablish our connection to it.
