Each piece of the Short-Lived Love collection is a hybrid, a sculpted creature made from the organic and baroque imagination of Sylvain Rieu-Piquet.
The wide and flexible flare of SLL Vessel 12 reveals a dark interior. The black colour is obtained by an iron-based patina, charred with a blowtorch. The vase seems to come out of the fire, returning to the roots of ceramics.

Sylvain Rieu-Piquet was born in 1981. He lives and works in Paris. Formerly a designer, Rieu Piquet now has a vast scope of artistic activities to his name.
