Each piece of the Short Lived Love collection is a hybrid, a sort of sculpted creature made from the organic and baroque imagination of Sylvain Rieu-Piquet.
The Egyptian paste that covers the inside of the SLL Vessel 4 was widely used in antiquity. It can be distinguished by the unique blue tint that only appears during the baking of the vase. However, it represents a great challenge as it has the tendency to crack or even explode, which makes it very hard to master.
This vase is the most telluric of this collection: the outside, looking much like fine marble, meets with an accidental interior, much like a crater.
