Terence Woodgate

Terence Woodgate is one of the UK’s most respected industrial designers, specialising in furniture and lighting. Renowned for his minimalist approach, he focuses on the art of subtraction rather than addition, distilling designs to their purest form.

Artist Biography

In 2003, he was elected a Royal Designer for Industry (RDI) by the Royal Society of Arts (RSA) in London, where he is also a Fellow (FRSA). Over the course of his career, he has received numerous prestigious international design awards, including the German Red Dot ‘Best of the Best’ award, the Design Council’s British Design Award, and the German iF Ecology Award.

His work is held in the permanent collections of the Victoria and Albert Museum in London and the Museu de les Arts Decoratives in Barcelona, as well as in private collections worldwide.

Woodgate currently lives and works from his studio on the Rocacorba Mountain, Girona, Spain.
