Kostas Lambridis’ artistic method evolved primarily from his relationship with the Baroque, whereas this bookcase, It’s Not Enough, was a conscious challenge for him to confront something more modern - in this case, the Memphis bookcase by Ettore Sottsass. As always, he works with an unrestricted range of material, combining numerous woods, metals, minerals and plastics in inventive ways. His methodology is honest, as he is unafraid to be transparent about how the piece was assembled. In his words, he shows “The inside. The backside. The hidden side. The truth and the process.”

Kostas Lambridis
Kostas Lambridis (born 1988, Greece) lives and works in Athens. After graduating from the School of Engineering, Department of Product and Systems Design Engineering at the University of the Aegean in Syros, he moved to the Netherlands to work in the studio of Nacho Carbonell, where he gained eight years of formative experience. During this time, he also completed a master’s degree in Contextual Design at the Design Academy Eindhoven, graduating cum laude in 2017.
