With the Arte Povera movement in mind, Martin Laforêt focuses on elevating rudimentary building materials into fine artworks. The artist likes objects attached to the domain of sculpture, industry and architecture, using well-worn materials to produce original shapes. The light sculpture MCL2 C combines oak wood with concrete to form a dislocated silhouette, each angular component illuminated in high contrast.
