British designer Terence Woodgate’s practice is grounded in a refined visual language that distils function into poetic abstraction. Finished in recycled carbon fibre, Carbon Chair is an experiment in producing a chair of minimal form while refusing to compromise on comfort. Created in collaboration with F1 racing car engineer John Barnard, the chair seat is gently curved to provide even support, while the angled back – a single, thin, flat sheet of solid carbon fibre – is designed to softly flex.
