Rooted in a philosophy of reduction, industrial designer Terence Woodgate’s creations are imbued with the formal rigour and silent power of modernist sculpture. Created in collaboration with racing car engineer John Barnard, Chaise Longue features a rectangular hollow sculptural form with the top surface formed to allow reclining comfort. The outer surface is a carbon fibre skin, while the inner void is lacquered a subtle champagne gold. The carbon body flexes slightly to offer comfort on what is otherwise a firm surface.
